D.L. Films | House Tribe Halloween

This was one of the funnest projects I've ever had the chance to work on. Mainly of course because it was Halloween and the freaks in their costumes were out in full effect! haha.. I saw everything from a "Troy Polamalu" look alike to a girl dressed as a shower bathtub.. Yes a bathtub, Lol!.. As always The House Tribe rocked the party like only they know best, and had the entire Eden Lounge rooftop bouncing!!.. I know I'm late in showing you guys this video here, but if you follow my online social networking then you are no stranger to it, but if you don't, then this is what you missed..

This weekend i'll be working on another video for the latest House Tribe event.. Trust me when i say this, this will be one for the ages!!! so stay tuned!!

Fotography & Video Of The Day | Night Life Edition

There are so many words to describe Steve Angello's Saturday night performance at Glow DC, but really I'll just leave the photos and video do all the talking... It was just so insane to really put into words. There were also appereances by Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom of the Washington Capitals Hockey Team (Check the 3rd Video!) If there is one thing to leave you with, is that The Swedish House Mafia and its members are what great music is really all about!

Videos (Yes Plural) Below the Photos!!

Halloween in Washington DC | The Adventures of D.L.

Halloween came and went, but not without making a big splash in DC.. Saturday night was insane with The House Tribe taking over Eden Rooftop, it was truly an amazing event that if you weren't there you seriously missed out! Every inch of the rooftop was packed with party goers in their most creative and down right crazy costumes. I'm gonna drop a massive video from the event so stay tuned for that, but for now I'll leave you with a little preview of the night..

And this was just from the DJ booth.. Wait till you see the rest!!!

Now lets get into the famous Halloween in Georgetown event... Every year during Halloween the streets and sidewalks of DC's famous Georgetown neighborhood get filled with people from all over the DMV to party, and parade their costumes down M street.. A few years ago i actually dressed up and joined in the festivities, but this year i wanted to just to take photos and enjoy all the people and their costumes. I must say Halloween in Georgetown never disappoints! hahah. Its just the one night where all the crazies come out to celebrate and just let loose. Now i must warn you, if you are claustrophobic then this might not be the event for you, it just gets extremely packed and its people everywhere!! This is the sort of event that makes me glad to be a photographer, just to many gems! haha.. Anyways enough chatter, lets get into the photos!

Hope everyone enjoyed!

Transformers 3 Filming in DC.. Foto|Video

If you haven't been living under a rock then you know that Transformers 3 took over DC for a few days in October to shoot some scenes. Michael Bay brought his famous explosions as well as his famous super friends the Autobots, oh yea, and Shia Labeouf and Josh Duhamel were also there haha.
I decided to venture out on the 13th for an evening of shooting, and trying to catch some of the stars in action. Drove down to DC and started looking for the brightest most lit part of town. Remember, find the lights, find the movie set! It only took a few minutes to find the film set located at the Lincoln Memorial, but quickly i was bummed out to find out none of the famous explosions would be taking place that evening. Why do you ask? Well DC's Park and Recreation department does not allow any sort of pyrotechnics or fire near the parks surrounding the monuments, but because of that i was able to capture more of the acting and film making.
When i walked to the set the place was packed with onlookers and fans. They were filming a few specific scenes with Shia Labeouf and Josh Duhamel and what i suspect to be the military crew that follows Duhamel's character. It was quite a personal experience for me to see the filming process as well as the directing process of what it takes to make a movie.
I know I'm rambling alot now so I'm just gonna give you what you guys came to see. Below are some of the shots i took from from the film set as well as a short video. Enjoy everyone!!

The Re-Up.. The Where, What, and Why

Well its been 8 months to the day since i last blogged. In that time there has been alot of things happening, both good, bad, and everything else in between that makes that clock go around. First i had to do a complete overhaul of the blog. Many of the past stories have been re-named, aswell as alot of the old stuff removed. When i first started this blog i had a vision to blog about everything and anything that i liked, but in that all i did was make it very impersonal. I was bloggin more about other things that had nothing to do with me or my life. While alot of those posts involved things i enjoyed looking at or was a fan of, it really was not about who the man behind the blog is. Due to legal matters which will not be discussed here, the name and overall message of this blog needed to be changed. Now its more about me and my personal projects and career. I will still blog about random stuff not related to me, but in a more personal way. I want whatever i write about to reflect my current mood and experiences.

Now lets get into what I've been up to this past 8 months. For starters my photography has really grown to new heights! Ive decided to keep the past posts that included my early photography as the future post will really show my growth and the knowledge i have gathered since. Ive really come to enjoy every aspect of photography as well as develop my own sense of style. I don't think I've really developed that specific style that makes my photography really stand out from the rest, but i know that this journey will only help me develop it, and i hope you guys are willing to come along for the ride.
Speaking of growth, I've really found a passion and love for film making. While most of the work I've been doing revolves around the DC nightlife and lifestyle, i look forward to expanding it to more character based projects. There are a few short film projects in the works that i hope i can show you guys very soon.
There is another project that I've gotten into called THE HOUSE TRIBE. If you have been keeping up on facebook, twitter or flickr, you have seen or heard me talk about these guys. I want to sit here and tell you all about whats been going on, but its much easier if you check The House Tribe blog at www.thehousetribedc.blogspot.com, there you can find alot of my work as well as any an all info regarding the group.

There is alot more things i want to tell you guys but i wont bore you with it all now. As i get back more into bloggin i will make sure to continue writing and letting everyone know of my exploits and adventures. For now i just want to thank all of you who have stuck behind me and have believed and continue to believe in my work. This blog was popular because of all of you, and i hope i can continue to provide you guys with many entertaining and interesting posts in the future. So stay tuned!!! :)

Ive made sure to make this blog and my work very accesible to everyone. Ive added easy share options for facebook and twitter below every post, aswell as links to my Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, and Vimeo on the right side of the blog. Make sure to check the pages at the top (Below the photo at the top of the page) for all kinds of info!!

You know i couldn't leave you without a shot.. Yours Truly
